Donald "Doc" Powell

Donald “Doc” R. Powell, 79, of Brownsboro, passed away on Wednesday, June 29, 2016.

He was a member of Harrods Creek Baptist Church since 1954, worked Clayton & Lambert, and retired from Oldham County School Board Maintenance.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 46 years, Frances Powell, and a second wife, Delores Armstrong Powell.

Doc is survived by a son Steven R. Powell (Cindy); Danita “Dee Dee” Brooks; four grandchildren, Matthew Powell, Erin Powell, Heather McCallister (Charles) and Calieb Brooks; three great grandchildren, Hunter McCallister, Leah Brooks and Cobi Ayers.

Funeral service 2 PM Friday at Harrods Creek Baptist Church followed by burial in Harrods Creeks Cemetery. Visitation 3-8 PM Thursday at Stoess Funeral Home, Crestwood.
