Betty Jean Patton

Betty Jean Patton, 87, of Pewee Valley, passed away on Monday, August 31, 2015, at Friendship Health and Rehab.

She was a member of Buckner Baptist Church and a retired manager for Walmart in Plano Texas.  Betty loved being a freelance poet and a grandma and everything in nature.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ray Patton and son, Thom Patton.

Betty is survived by her children, Linda S. Hogue (Mark), Donald W. Cahen (Nancy), David J. Cahen (Pam), Mark R, Patton (Kim), Joyce Black and Mary Elaine Chandler; twenty one grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren; a brother, Randall Burkey.

Funeral Service will be 10 AM Thursday at Buckner Baptist Church, visitation 5 – 8 Wednesday at Stoess Funeral Home, Crestwood.  There will be a second funeral Friday at Lawrence United Methodist Church in Indianapolis, visitation Thursday at Flanner and Buchanan Funeral Home. Burial on Friday at Washington Park East Cemetery.
