William Dale Goodwin

William Dale Goodwin was born October 31st, 1969 in Louisville, KY. Dale left us unexpectedly of natural causes on September 16th, 2026. He grew up in Crestwood, Kentucky, and graduated from OCHS in 1987. Dale attended JCC and WKU. He was a longtime devoted employee of Kroger.

He was preceded in death by his father, William Stevens Goodwin.
He will be forever loved and cherished by his mother, Martha Jane McMahan Goodwin, his sister Kathy Goodwin Lay, his niece Shyla Lay, and nephews Reed Lay and Austin Lay. Dale adored his niece and nephews ,and they adored their uncle. Loved as brothers Chris Monarch and Alan Richards. He was Uncle Dale to his honorary nephews and niece Andrew Monarch, Hunter Monarch, and Samantha Monarch. He also leaves behind numerous friends and coworkers who will miss him dearly.

Visitation will be Thursday September 24th from 3 P.M. - 8 P.M. and on Friday September 25th from 10 A.M-11:30 A.M. with funeral service immediately following. Burial will be at Valley Cemetery in Taylorsville, KY. Dinner for family and friends will be at Crestwood Civic Club, 7215 Kavanaugh Road, Crestwood, KY. The family would like to thank Kroger for providing the meal.
