William Alvin Dossett, Jr.

William Alvin Dossett Jr.,102, of Pewee Valley, Kentucky was born to Sally May and William A. Dossett Sr. on January 16, 1924, in Hopkinsville Kentucky. He passed away peacefully on August 25, 2026, at home surrounded by his family. 

Bill was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Frances Dossett; his parents; his brothers, Joseph, David, Bobby, Doll, Paul; and sisters, Judy, Dolores, and Marjorie.

Bill is survived by his son, James Dossett (Glenda); daughter, Debbie Harris (Ronnie); brother, Richard (Joyce); sister-in-law, Pat and brother-in-law, Paul. Grandchildren; Mary (Andrew), Tracy (Joe), Megan, Shannon (Justin), Luke, Amy, Chad, and numerous great grandchildren. Bill was a master electrician and served in the Signal core during World War II wiring ships in San Francisco. Bill worked at Pewee Valley Hospital and Friendship Manor nursing home for 46 years. Bill loved cars, history and sharing jokes and stories with his friends and family.

Bill was a member of the Pewee Valley Seventh-Day Adventist Church. He had a love of music and enjoyed singing in the choir. He used his talent as an electrician to assist in the building of Pewee Valley Junior Academy and Pewee Valley Seventh-Day Adventist Church.

Through Bills prayer life he developed a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Bill is awaiting His soon return when He will come to take him home.
