William Alan Thompson

William Alan Thompson (Alan), 71, died on Saturday March 1st 2025. He passed away peacefully, at home surrounded by those he loved the most and who loved him.

His family and friends will miss him greatly and life without him just won’t be nearly as fun. He worked as a Union Pipefitter by trade and worked for 5 years at the Ford Motor Company before retiring. He was an amazing husband, father, and “pops”. He was a great provider, hilarious, and such a strong, hard-working man. He sought to protect and care for his loved ones in his last days and as usual, continued to put others before himself. He loved God, and his family will continue holding onto the hope that they will see him again.

He is preceded in death by his parents, William and Carol Thompson; Brother, Chuck Thompson. He leaves behind his loving wife, Teresa Thompson. They were together for 52 years and married just 26 days short of 49 years. He also leaves behind his son, Christopher Thompson (Bobbie); Daughter, Jessica Bowman (Jedediah); son, Nicholas Thompson (Katie); and seven grandchildren: Stone, Caleb, Makenna, Jase, Brantley, Kaiden, and Tucker. He also leaves behind his sister Sharon Zamler and countless other family and friends who will forever cherish his memory.

Visitation will be held on Monday, March 10th from 2-5pm at Southeast Christian Church Crestwood Campus, located at 6220 Crestwood Station, Crestwood KY 40014. A celebration of life service will be held at the same location starting at 5pm, with a private burial held at a later date.
