WIlliam "Garry" Moore

William Garry Moore, 69, of Oldham County, Kentucky, passed away peacefully at his home on August 9, 2026.

Garry was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend. He was a devoted husband to his wife, Lynne Moore, and a proud father to his daughter, Heather Kelly, and his son, Matthew Moore (Tatyana Moore). He was a loving grandfather to Rylee Borth (Kaden Borth) and Allen Moore, who brought great joy to his life.

Garry worked for Philip Morris USA for 30 years before retiring. He later continued serving his community by working for Oldham County Schools for 14 years as a school bus driver.

He loved the outdoors and enjoyed hunting, spending time at the lake, riding four-wheelers, and enjoying the simple pleasures of being outside. He also cherished the years he spent coaching Little League baseball for his son, Matthew, creating special memories and sharing his love of the game with him and his teammates. Above all, Garry treasured his family and the time spent making memories with the people he loved.

He was preceded in death by his parents, William Moore and Alice Campbell, and his sister, Donna Thornton. He is survived by his wife, Lynne Moore; daughter, Heather Kelly; son, Matthew Moore (Tatyana Moore); granddaughter, Rylee Borth (Kaden Borth); grandson, Allen Moore; and his surviving sister, Susan Murphy.

Garry will be deeply missed and forever loved by his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. His memory will live on in the hearts of those who loved him.
