Virginia (Cox) Schmitt

   Virginia (Giva) Schmitt, 82 , from Pewee Valley Kentucky,  a loving wife, devoted mother, grandmother and great grandmother passed away peacefully in her home Saturday afternoon September  30th, 2023 after a hard  long fought illness surrounded by family. 

   A graduate of Sacred Heart Academy she continued her education at the University of Louisville and become a lab tech and X-ray technician. Ultimately her best job was being a loving and devoted wife , mother , grandmother and great grandmother. 

   Virginia is survived by her loving husband Robert "Bob" Schmitt.  
   Her children; Terri McCann, Robin Keown and Jim Schmitt .  She has six grandchildren; Whitney Durbin , Caroline Keown, Charlie Keown, Sabrina McCann, Trent Schmitt and Austin Schmitt .  She had one Great Grand daughter Ryder Durbin with another on the way .  

   A visitation and service will be at Stoess Funeral home 6534 W. Hwy 22 Crestwood Ky . 40014 on Saturday Oct. 7th visitation starts at 10:00 am with a memorial service at 1:00 pm.

   Special thanks to her extraordinary hospice team Corrie , Ayla, Tasha, Jennifer and Dr. Earnshaw.
