Tom Malone, age 82 of Shelbyville. Ky , formerly Oldham County, Ky. passed away peacefully January 9,2024 surrounded by his family. Tom was a respected contractor/ home builder for 45 years. He loved his life on the farm named Dream’s End because he took an old cow pasture and turned it in to a magnificent, manicured home site. He loved all the outdoor activities. Hunting , four wheeling, mowing, playing with grandchildren, and doing anything exciting.
He is survived by his wife, Dee St.Lawrence Malone, one son Scott Malone (Becky), daughter Laura Tucker (Doug), Bonus children Jeffrey English (Beth) of Tuscaloosa, Alabama; Julie Ingram, Louisville, Grandchildren Cody Malone (Alexandra) USAF Japan, Josh Malone (Jenn) Crestwood , Jordan McCarty (Nick) of Dallas , Ga. ; Cole Thomas Tucker, Crestwood; bonus grandchildren Ally, Jack and Hannah English (Alabama and Texas.) Jack and Jillian Ingram of Louisville. Great grandchildren: Ella, Olivia and Grace Malone; Beau and Will Malone; Adley and Hudson McCarty. He leaves behind one sister Jackie Corum (Mike). Several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Joyce Brainer Malone, his daughter Cindy Powell, his mother Ruth Tungate Malone Huffman and stepfather who raised him Eugene Huffman. His father Earl Malone was killed in WWII.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy.
Funeral arrangements are being handled by Stoess Funeral Home, Crestwood, Ky. Visitation will be Sunday afternoon, January 12,2024 from 1-4 with a funeral service to begin at 4 pm. The Reverend Deke Rigor will conduct the service. Buriel will be January 20th at Jones Chapel Methodist Church cemetery at 1 p.m. in Casey County, Ky.
