Thomas Clarence Ennes, “Tom” (67) passed away Tuesday, February 2nd, 2021, at Norton Suburban hospital in Louisville, KY, after a hard-fought battle with cancer. He was surrounded by loved ones.
Tom grew up in Louisville and was a member of Pewee Valley SDA Church. He was a graduate of Bellarmine University. He loved the Yankees, UofL athletics, Yellowstone, 4th of July, and most of all spending time with his family and friends. He worked as a contractor for many years before becoming a great salesperson and selling roofs. He had many titles in life, but his favorites were Daddy and Papaw.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Margaret Ennes; father, Charles Ennes; siblings, Marshall Gaither and Marsha Gunnels; and nephew, Josh Gaither.
He is survived by his two daughters, McKenna (Amanda) Ennes, Rachael (David) Ennes; His fiancé, Leslie Cotton; three sisters, Dorothy Ennes, Mary (Jeff) Davis, and Marty Ennes; nine grandchildren, Alexis Hartline, Charlie, Stella, and Ruby Keasler, Henry and Benjamin Adkins, Callie Reinhart, and Ireland and Esme Ennes; his niece, Jessica Barnhouse and two nephews, Charlie Ennes and Paul Davis.
A memorial service will be held at 6p.m. February 12th at Stoess Funeral Home in Crestwood, KY with visitation from 4-6. Afterwards there will be a gathering at Pewee Valley SDA Church for a celebration/remembrance.
