With a heavy heart, the family of Teddy Ray Adams announces his passing on December 31st, 2018. At the moment he went to be with his Lord and Savior, he was 74 years old. He passed away peacefully at Jewish Hospital in Louisville with his surviving children, Brian(52) and Amiee(32), at his side.
Teddy Ray was born March 23rd, 1944 on a farm off Harrington Mill road, in Shelbyville, Kentucky, and spent a good deal of his life on the farm. It was there his love of farm equipment began. He would spend any free time he had tinkering on tractors in his barn.
He drove trucks for a handful of companies (the majority of years being with Usher), and when he retired from that, he drove a school bus for Oldham County, and opened a catering business (Personal Touch Catering) with his wife, Patsy. They touched the lives of thousands of people with their food.
He married Patsy Peppenger in 1965, and had their first child, Brian, in 1966, raising him in a home in Oldham County of Highway 53. In 1981 they welcomed their second child, Holly, and in 1986, they welcomed their third child, Amiee.
Anyone that knew Ted would say he was an extremely kind hearted man. He was one of those that would give the clothes off his back to someone in need. Quiet and humble, he was more than happy to listen to you talk, and maybe give a few words of advice along the way. He loved his westerns, fish sandwiches, coffee and pepsi.
He is survived by: Brother- Donald Adams, Son- Brian Adams, Daughter - Amiee Adams.
He is preceeded in death by: Mother - Viola Adams, Father - Joel Adams, Sister - Mavis, Bother - Harold, Wife - Patsy, and Daughter - Holly.
