Praise God! Stephen Lawrence McCabe is home with Jesus!! He passed peacefully at home with his family around him on January 14th, 2022. He is survived by Lisa McCabe, his wife, Christopher, Laura and Michael, his three children.
God blessed Steve with a large and wild life! In his short 64 years, Steve touched and worked with so many different groups of people. Music was Steve’s first passion. God gave him a gift and he shared it with anyone who would listen to him or try to play an instrument. His passion took him into the advertising industry where he worked with a lot of his childhood idols for 30 years. Steve and Christopher, his son, shared mission trips to White Mountain Apache Reservation in Arizona. Steve played with the children and shared Jesus’ love. Then Steve decided to teach music lessons from home. His approach was simple; take the student where they are and lead them to where they wanted to go. Steve’s last adventure was substitute teaching in Oldham County schools. He served in the special needs classrooms for four years. He loved this job. It wasn’t a job to him, it was pure joy to spend time with his students.
Steve touched many lives because he loved unconditionally. They were drawn to him because Jesus was the Light and the Love that poured out of Steve. He made people laugh and feel loved. Jesus was Steve’s Life source.
