Ruth Jean (Reed) Darland

Ruth Jean (Reed) Darland, 86, passed away on April 4, 2021, Easter Sunday, and because He lives, we have hope eternal. She was born December 15, 1934, to Mary and Clarence Reed of Finchville, KY. She was an executive assistant at Accounting Computer Systems and The National Kidney Foundation of Kentucky. She was a founding member of Northeast Christian Church. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and sister.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William Edgar Darland, and grandson Thomas Lee Mattingly. She is survived by her sister, Waldeen Kurtz; her two daughters, Pam Mattingly (Jerry) and Teresa Parker (Suzanne); grandchildren, Kerry Parker (Mindy), Leslie Bean (Adam), and Amy McNally (Mason); and great grandchildren, Haley Parker, Jayden Parker, Nathan Bean, Ada Bean, and Finley McNally.
Visitation will be from 12:30-2:00 pm on Saturday, April 10, 2021, with the service following at 2:00 pm at Stoess Funeral Home, 6534 W. State Hwy 22, Crestwood, KY, 40014.
