Roy "Billy" "Goat" W. Armstrong

Roy “Billy” “Goat” Armstrong, 71, passed away on November 24, 2022, in Lagrange.  He was born on May 29, 1951, in Eastwood, Kentucky, the son of the late John and Mary Catherine Largen Armstrong.  He is survived by his sons, Jay Armstrong (Jackie) and Jack Scott (Jessi), siblings, George Armstrong (Pearline), Shirley Floyd (Russell), Ronnie Armstrong, Mary Downey, Robert Armstrong (Trish), Doug Armstrong (Beth), Phil Armstrong, Kathy Smith (Bill), sister-in-law, Tyleen, brother-in-law, Roger Coon, sister-in-law, Jackie Bryant and granddaughter, Aubrey Scott.  Besides his loving wife, Paulette, he is preceded in death by his brother, Charles Armstrong and grandchild, baby (JJ) Armstrong.  Billy was a proud member of Pleasant View Baptist Church.  Visitation will be on Thursday, December 1, 2022, from 11:00-1:00pm at Stoess Funeral Home, Crestwood.  Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 pm on Thursday at the funeral home, with Jr. Sparkman of Pleasant View Baptist Church officiating.  Interment will be directly following the service at Floydsburg Cemetery.  The family requests that expression of sympathy be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
