Obituary

Robert Anthony Troklus (1947-2020) On Thursday, December 17, 2020, Robert Anthony Troklus, loving husband, father, and grandfather, passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his family, at the age of 73. He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph Sr. and Lillian Troklus, and brother Joseph Troklus. He is survived by his loving wife of 31 years, Debbie, son Doug (Bethany) Troklus, daughters Tonya (Todd) Banta, and Holly (Keith) Mudd, and seven grandchildren, Brandon, Lily, Evelyn, Eli, Dean, Tyler and Stella. “Bob” Troklus grew up in downtown Louisville, Kentucky in Germantown. A devout Catholic, he was an alter boy at St. Therese then attended St. Xavier High School and received a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting at Bellarmine University. He later earned his Masters Degree in Accounting from Bellarmine. He also served his country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. Over his career, Bob held high level accounting jobs at AAF, Technotrim, and was CFO of Canton Wood Products. Bob was an extremely intelligent mathematician and brilliant with numbers, but also had an incredible sense of humor and an unmatched enthusiasm for his many hobbies. He was an avid Lionel model train collector since childhood, had an enormous passion for music, was an expert carpenter, and almost never lost a game of pool, bowling, cards or cornhole. Bob will be remembered for his quick wit and unique ability to make anyone laugh, but most of all for his love of family. He loved nothing more than to spend time with his wife and dogs, play a friendly game of poker with his kids, or blow the whistle on the train for his eager grandchildren.
