Robert "Bob" L. Powell

Robert L. Powell (Bob), 89 of Louisville, KY passed away on Tuesday, November 8, 2022.  He was born March 1, 1933 in Mishawaka, IN to Marvalynn and Marie (Edison) Powell.

Bob married the love of his life Buelah (Boots) Allison and just celebrated 70 years of marriage in August.   He was a loving and patient man with a great sense of humor.  “Dad Jokes” were his favorite.  He liked soccer, baseball, football, following Notre Dame sports from a young age.  Most of all he loved his family.

He was preceded in death by his son Todd A. Powell.  He is survived by his wife Buelah (Allison) Powell, and a long loving legacy of children grandchildren and great grandchildren.  The legacy includes daughters Rachelle Birdsell, Terri Kaufman (Dave) and Susan Maignaud (Steve), sons Kent Powell (Carole) and Brian Powell.  6 grandchildren Brent Birdsell (Diana), Marissa Janoch (Jason) , Lauren Maignaud (Sam), Ryan Powell (Bree), Alison Schult (Joseph) and T. Alex Powell.  11 great grandchildren Sydney and Jackson Birdsell, Wesley, Ace and Jolie Schult.  Hannah, Mia & Hayden Janoch, Monaco and Meadow Jones and Lincoln Powell.  He also leaves a brother Richard Powell and many nieces and nephews.
