Robert Burge Wheeler

Robert Burge Wheeler Sr, also known as Bob, Bobby and Bo, Pap, of Louisville, Ky.,  passed away on November 4, 2021 after a long battle with cancer.
He was a veteran of the United States Marine Corp where he proudly served in Cuba.
Bob was an avid gardener, hunter and lover of the outdoors.
Bob was a happy soul that would tell great stories about life which would endear all of those that were fortunate enough to have met him.
He was a fun, caring father, a supportive husband and a caregiver to his grandchildren as they grew and deeply cherished his newest great granddaughter Caroline Logsdon. 
 He was preceded in death by his wife Carla Wheeler and his parents Herbert Trigg and Martha Wheeler. He is survived by his sons and Daughters;  Terry Young(Lorry),Caryn Petress(Don), Robert Wheeler Jr(Terrie Washburn), Toni Shackleford (Billy Tilford). Also many grandchildren Kristen Logsdon(Jacob), Ezra Singleton, Rickey Young, Rawley Young, A great granddaughter Caroline Logsdon. A longtime friend Phil Martin
Bob’s quickness to laugh was contagious and inspiring, his smile will be greatly missed. Services will be at Stoess Funeral Home Wednesday November 10th, 2021 from 11AM to 1PM Funeral service at 1PM. Burial to follow at Valley of Rest Cemetery in Lagrange.
