Rhea Dernovshek Obituary

Rhea Jean Dernovshek, 89 of Louisville, KY entered into heaven on Friday, August 27, 2021. She was born March 21st, 1932 in Delphi Indiana.

    She was a loving Wife, Mother, Grandmother, and Great-Grandmother. She was married to Joseph Frank Dernovshek on September 21st, 1955.

    She was a member of St. Bernadette Catholic Church. She volunteered her time in numerous church fundraisers and service projects. She was a homemaker, avid sewer, and a member of Homemakers Club.  Her hobbies included playing bridge, golfing, traveling, and in the last year, playing dominoes and bingo with her friends.

 She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Dernovshek, Parents George and Martha Hornbeck and  Brothers Tom and Truman Hornbeck.

 She is survived by her four children, Pamela Dernovshek, Ellen Hogg (Bill), Jay Dernovshek (Sharon), Joyce Crawley (Tim). Her nine Grandchildren Jennifer Fowler (Greg), Ryan Hogg (Brittany Nicole), Brittany Hogg, Steven Dernovshek (Andi), Matt Dernovshek (Mandy), Brooke Cotton (Chris), Cody Crawley (Logan), Austin Crawley (Elena), Tyler Crawley (Kait). Her four Great-Grandchildren Eli Hogg, Charlee Dernovshek, Bella Crawley and soon-to-be Carter Cotton.

She is also survived by her Aunt Louis, Sister-In-Laws Arelene Lunis, Marlene Ludvik (Richard), Cousin Tony Hegler (Carole), along with many Cousins, Nieces and Nephews.

  Services will be held Monday August 30th, 2021 at Duncan Memorial Chapel, Crestwood, KY from 11am till service time at noon. Burial to follow at Floydsburg Cemetery
