Reba Evans Wheeler

Reba Evans Wheeler, a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, passed away peacefully on September 16, 2025, at the age of 85.

Born in Rockwood, Tennessee, Reba was valedictorian of her high school class before graduating from Carson Newman College. It was there that she met the love of her life, Joe, whom she later married. Together, they built a life centered around faith and family.

Reba nurtured a home filled with love and countless hugs, where her family always felt cared for and supported. She cherished time spent with her children and grandchildren, who brought her endless joy. Reba was strong in her Christian beliefs and a longstanding member of Covenant Church.

Beyond her devotion to her family and faith, Reba enjoyed golfing, reading, watching sports, and attending her grandchildren’s activities. She and Joe traveled often, and especially treasured time spent near the beach.

Reba was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Joe; sister, Mary Nelle; mother, Edna Culvahouse Evans; and father, Frank Clifford Evans. She is survived by her three children, Greg, Christopher (Annette), and Laura (Ken); her seven grandchildren, Zach, Lindsey, Nathaniel, Gabrielle, Anna, William, and Colin; her brother, Dave Evans (Sharon); her sister, Edna (Culvey) Carlton; and many nieces and nephews.

Reba will be remembered for her kindness, her unwavering love, and the quiet strength she shared with everyone around her. Her legacy of warmth and generosity will live on in the hearts of those who loved her.

Visitation will take place on Friday, September 19th from 3:00 - 7:30 PM at Stoess Funeral Home in Crestwood, Kentucky. A service to celebrate her life will be held at Stoess Funeral Home on Saturday, September 20th at 10:30 AM with burial at Floydsburg Cemetery immediately afterwards.
