Rachel Ann Thornberry

Rachel Ann (Edwards) Thornberry, 80, passed away peacefully, at her residence, on Tuesday, June 21, 2022, with her loving family by her side.  She joined her husband, Joseph Lawrence “Larry” Thornberry, in God’s care.  She was known by many friends as Rachel, and to her family, she was Ann.  She was a devoted wife for 56 years, a homemaker and was a mother to six children.  She is survived by her children, John (Rebecca), Wayne (Mary), Kevin, Evelyn (Greg), Esther (Bruce) and Gerald (Dana), 14 grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild.  Visitation will be held on Saturday, July 2, 2022, from 10:00 AM until 1:00 PM at Stoess Funeral Home in Crestwood. Funeral service will be after the visitation at 1:00 PM.  Interment will be immediately following the service at Evergreen Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Rachel’s honor, to the National Kidney Foundation of Kentucky, 12468 Lagrange Rd. #207, Louisville, KY, 40245,
