Peter George Rusello

Peter “Pete” George Rusello, 78, of Louisville, KY, passed away March 8, 2020. He is preceded in death by his parents, Peter and Margaret, and his brother Robert (Denise). He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Carole, children Peter and Kristin Rusello, brothers; Andrew (Johnna), Steven, Paul (Karen), as well as many nieces and nephews.  Pete graduated from SUNY Plattsburg in 1964 with a degree in education. He taught fifth grade science for five years in Massena, NY, driving to work on a motorcycle. He then worked at DuPont for 25 years in several states before retiring. Pete’s family lived in Crestwood for 34 years where he worked as a substitute teacher for 10 years. He loved that work and had a passion for teaching, as his children can attest. He taught them both how to drive, fish, and cook the world’s best chili and crepes.  For all who knew him, Pete was a huge presence and is greatly missed by his family. 
There will be a private memorial service in Massena, NY this summer. Memorial donations can be made to the hospice organization of your choice.
