Patricia “Pat” L. Johnson, 61, of Georgetown, Indiana, passed away peacefully on June 6, 2026, after a courageous battle with cancer.
Born on December 31, 1964, Pat was a devoted wife, mother, Mamaw, and friend. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Chester Johnson, and her grandson, Michael Johnson.
Pat is survived by her son, Daniel Johnson (Sarah), and her stepsons, Tony Johnson (Lisa) Bobby Johnson (Marsha), and her brother, Mark Jones. She was a proud and loving Mamaw to Hazel and Cooper Johnson; Amanda, Zoe, and Eli Heath; and Jack, Matthew, and Willow Johnson. Her family was the center of her world, and she treasured every moment spent with them.
Over the years, Pat’s family grew beyond blood relations. She was deeply loved by Sarah’s family; Jeff and Lisa Middleton, Emily, Matthew, Dennis, and Oliver Hunter, and many more who embraced her as one of their own and remained a source of love, support, and friendship throughout her life.
Pat found joy in life’s simple pleasures. She enjoyed her Sunday mornings at Northeast Christian Church and reading her bible often. She loved planting and caring for flowers, taking pride in watching them grow and bloom. Some of her happiest moments were spent in the kitchen with her beloved grandchildren, Hazel and Cooper, baking goodies, preparing meals, and creating memories that will be treasured forever. She also cherished family outings to Polly’s Freeze, where gathering for ice cream became a favorite tradition filled with laughter, conversation, and togetherness.
Pat will be remembered for her strength, determination, and deep love for those around her. Throughout life’s challenges, she demonstrated resilience and courage while continuing to care for and support the people she loved. Her presence brought comfort to her family, and her love leaves a lasting legacy that will continue through the generations she helped shape.
Though her family grieves her loss, they find peace in knowing she has been reunited with her husband, Chester, and her grandson, Michael.
Pat’s family would like to express their gratitude to the friends, family members, and healthcare professionals at Baptist Healthcare who supported her throughout her journey.
She will be deeply missed, lovingly remembered, and forever held in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
