Mildred (Reece) Godby

Mildred Reece Godby, 99, passed away peacefully at Glen Ridge Healthcare Facility surrounded by her family on March 15, 2025.
Mildred is preceded in death by her parents, William Reece and Paulinia Ballou; siblings, Calvin, Melvin, Alvin, Algan, Dexter, Alvie, Evelyn, Rosie; two sons, Gayle (Butch) Davis and Danny Davis; and granddaughter, Melissa Gullet.  
Mildred is survived by her sisters; Anna, Irma Sue, Mary, Tina, Janey, Oda Mae; brothers, Leonard, Lewis; children, Saundra Noel, Anita (Robert) Gullett, Gerald (Tammy) Davis, Jackie (Brenda) Davis, Phyllis (late Charles) Bennett, Debbie Morgan, Todd Davis; 20 grandchildren; and 29 great grandchildren.
Mildred was a loving daughter, sibling, wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother to her very large family.  She was known for her love of gardening, cooking, dancing and love of BINGO.  Her greatest joy was caring for all of her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.  Mildred never met a stranger.
The family would like to say a special Thank You to all of the staff and friends at Glen Ridge Healthcare Facility who took such wonderful and loving care of Mildred. 
Services will be Thursday, 11 am, Stoess Funeral Home, 6534 West Highway 22, Crestwood, KY with interment to follow in Harrods Creek Cemetery, 8104 Hwy 329, Brownsboro, KY.  Visitation will be Wednesday, 2-8 pm at the Funeral Home.  condolences:www.stoessfuneralhome.com
