Michelle Ann (Smith) Cecil

Michelle Ann Cecil passed away on January 18, 2024 at the age of 57 in Prosperity, South Carolina. She was born on October 31,1966 in Louisville, Kentucky. She was married to Thomas Ray Cecil (Tom) on August 25, 1990 in Crestwood, Kentucky.  Michelle graduated from Oldham County High School in 1984, and remained in Oldham County most of her life. She spent a majority of her career working at The Silver Spoon, where she worked until retiring at 54 to move to South Carolina to be closer to her daughter, son-in-law and granddaughter. Michelle was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother and enjoyed being known as Grammy best.

She is survived by her husband of 33 years, Tom Cecil; daughter, Alyssa Pirtle and her husband Jake, and granddaughter, Lily.

She was preceded in her death by her twin sister, Malissa Ann Nichter.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 24, 2024 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Stoess Funeral Home 6534 West Highway 22 Crestwood, KY 40014. A funeral service will be held the following day, Thursday, January 25, 2024 beginning at 1:00 PM with burial to follow in Floydsburg Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorials be made to the American Heart Association, the American Lung Association, or the American Stroke Association.
