Megan "Sunshine" Leigh Jones

Megan Leigh Jones, 30, passed away peacefully on June 14th , 2022 after a 2 year battle with breast cancer. She was born on December 17th , 1991 in Louisville, Kentucky to Keith and Joyce Jones. She was a 2010 graduate of South Oldham High School. She spent a majority of her life living in Crestwood, Kentucky, spending the last 7 years in Taylorsville, KY.
Megan was an avid sports fanatic. She had a special love for UK basketball and was the biggest cheerleader for her sisters. She was a five time Special Olympic State Champion in both softball and basketball. She loved spending time at St. Mary’s Center and with her Monday group. She loved
watching Survivor, taking naps, and going on walks with her beloved dog Paco. Her hugs, thoughtfulness, and contagious smile touched many hearts.
She is survived by her parents Keith and Joyce, sister Lauren and brother in law Daniel, sister Sydney and brother in law Cody, grandmother Shirley, niece Rosaleigh, nephew Isaac, and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. We would like to thank Megan’s caregivers Ellen, Sue, Dolly, and Donna for all their support and love.
Megan was our sunshine because she brought light and joy wherever she went. To honor Megan, we kindly ask for everyone to wear her favorite color yellow for her Celebration of Life.
