Mary Louise (Boulter) Mingus

Mary Louise Boulter Mingus of Crestwood, Kentucky passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February
15th 2023.
She was born to Duane and Bernice Boulter in Lincoln, Nebraska. She married Charles Mingus Sr in
January 1964, whom she met at his family’s grocery store, Kellie’s market. They had two children, Liza
(Mingus) Crall and Charles Mingus Jr. They lived in Crestwood, Kentucky. Mary was a talented artist of
portrait and scenery. She enjoyed swimming, walking, and being outdoors. She spent many years
working as a bus driver for Oldham County Schools.
Mary is survived by a son Charles (Debbie) Mingus Jr; a daughter Liza (Doug) Crall; 5 grandchildren
Chelsea (Josh) Housley, Kirby Cowart, Kelly (Jacob) Fults, Taylor Cowart, and Missy (Lucas) Steinbach; 4
great grandchildren Lilly and Gabriel Housley, Cooper Fults, Skyler Steinbach, and many nieces and
nephews. She is preceded in death by her loving husband of 52 years, Charlie Mingus Sr., and her sisters
Dorothy Jean Clark and Beverly Gerhart.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 21st from 11:00am-2:00pm at Stoess Funeral Home in
Crestwood. Funeral service will be at 2:00pm with burial to follow at Floydsburg cemetery.
