Madeline Jean “Maddie” Mason, 25, passed away on March 31, 2026 following complications from a severe Asthma attack.
Maddie was born on September 29, 2000, in Reno, Nevada, and graduated from Oldham County High School in 2019. She cherished the connections she made with her regular customers while bartending at Texas Roadhouse and embraced a life filled with creativity, love, and adventure.
Maddie was an avid seamstress who found joy in creating many of her own clothes, often designing special outfits to wear to the baseball games she loved attending. She had a passion for travel and exploration and, with only four states remaining, was close to achieving her goal of visiting all 50 states.
Above all, Maddie cherished her family. She loved being an aunt to her nieces and nephew and treasured every moment spent with those she held dear. She will be remembered for her kind heart, vibrant spirit, and the love she so freely gave to everyone around her.
Maddie is survived by her loving parents, Lisa and Brian Mason; her beloved boyfriend, Cody Grasch; and her grandparents, Jean and Robert King. She is also survived by her siblings, Wade Mason (Molly Maloney), Cody Mason (Mckenzi) and their child, Naomi, and Jackson Mason (Brynna) and their children, Josef and Mia. She also leaves behind many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends who loved her deeply and will carry her memory in their hearts always.
She was preceded in death by her beloved grandparents, Felicia and Harvey Mason; her cousin, Laura Davies; and Cody Grasch’s grandfather, Steve Decker.
Maddie’s memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her—a reflection of the joy she brought to others. She often quoted a lyric that captured her essence: “No matter where life takes me, find me with a smile.”
