Lucinda (Cindy) Kockentiet 

January 5th, 1952 - May 19th, 2023

Cindy was born in Indianapolis, Indiana to James and Dolores (Ohge) McClamroch and moved to Jeffersonville, Indiana at a young age. She attended school there until about 4th grade. She then moved back to Indianapolis and stayed there until moving to Louisville in 1969. She graduated from Westport High School and attended the University of Kentucky.

She was a broker at Hilliard Lyons before marrying her husband, Tip, and transitioning to a homemaker role to raise their son, Ryan.   

Cindy was an avid horseback rider, and she rode and owned several horses throughout her life including Smoky, Dusty, Emily, Max, and Bella. She loved them all dearly. 

Cindy loved all animals, great and small. During her 39 years of marriage with Tip, they raised 8 Labrador puppies and numerous cats. She spent much of her time volunteering at the Oldham County Humane Society and fostering cats. 

She is survived by her son, Ryan (Emily), granddaughter, Zoey, brother, Jim McClamroch (Margie), brother, Scott McClamroch (Donna), and nephews, Doug McClamroch, Brent McClamroch, and Brian McClamroch.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Stoess Funeral Home in Crestwood, Kentucky from 1-3 p.m. on Saturday, June 3rd – 6534 W State Highway 22, Crestwood, Kentucky 40014.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Oldham County Humane Society – 2601 Interior Way, Lagrange KY 40031.
