Lubina Mae (Woodcock) Chamberlain

Lubina (Woodcock) Chamberlain aged 88, died Thursday, December 19 at her home in PeWee Valley.

She was born March 7, 1936 in Ready, Kentucky.

She grew up in the hills and hollers of Western Kentucky, loving animals, her church and singing with her sisters in communities and jamborees across the state. “Biny” loved her family and spending time outside; she was a fashionista, loved music and beaches. She was a gentle, kind, strong and amazing woman with a quick wit and patient soul.

Biny is survived by her sisters; Novella Brown of PeWee Valley, and Virginia (Wendall) Embry of Rabbit Flat, Ky; her beloved niece; Angela (Chad) Cornett; and grand nieces; Alexis (Ben) Crosslin' and Ellie were the joys of her life. She is also survived by her brother-in-law; Curtis (Dorothy) Chamberlain; and nephew, Chad (Terry) Chamberlain; and niece, Dana (Jason) Dodge. Numerous additional nieces and nephews also survive. She cherished her family.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles; her parents, Luke, and Caldonia Woodcock; brothers, Daymond, Shelby, Shirley, Wendall, and Gordon Woodcock; sisters, Normagene Franzell, and Betty Kloubec.

Arrangements are being handled by Stoess Funeral Home, 6535 W State Highway 22, Crestwood, Kentucky 40014. Visitation will be Monday, December 23 from 10:30am-noon with the funeral to follow. Burial will be in the Floydsburg Cemetery in Crestwood.
