Lois Maye (Burkhead) Basham-Wright

Lois Basham Wright peacefully passed away Thursday morning, January 26, 2023 at the age of 101.
She leaves behind her loving son, Carl A. Basham, daughter-in-law Patsy, two granddaughters, Kimberly A. McDonald(Mike), Cory A. Reis(Erich), great granddaughter, Ashley N. Lucas and great grandson Chase A. Reis.
She is preceded in death by her late husband Carl Basham who passed in 1988 and Arville Wright who passed in 2000, also  brothers Archie, Carlos, Gilbert, Leon, Roy, Russell and Wilbur, as well as her sisters, Gladys and Rudell.
Lois was born on June 3, 1921 to late parents Simeon and Ruth Burkhead of Big Clifty, Kentucky.
Lois loved life, her friends, her family, and above all, Jesus. She was a member of Crestwood Baptist Church. Lois was an avid gardener and enjoyed bowling, card games, dominoes and travel. She will be missed by all her family and friends until they meet again.
Visitation will be held at Stoess Funeral Home in Crestwood, Ky on Sunday, January 29, 2023 from 2pm-6pm. Funeral service will be on Monday, January 30,2023 at 11am at Stoess Funeral Home. The family will hold a private burial service at Louisville Memorial Gardens West following the funeral service
