Leona Kathleen "Singer" Duncan-Sharp, March 12, 1934 - September 3, 2024, went home to her lord and savior Tuesday, September 3, 2024.
Born and raised in Westport, Kentucky to the late Leo and Dorothy "Cornell" Singer she was the oldest of two girls, (Norma Joann Houston-Barnhill).
Leona was a member of the Eastern Star Rob Morris Chapter #114 for many years and a worthy matron. She was an avid deer hunter, crafter, and flower enthusiast. As a member of Pewee Valley Baptist for many years she enjoyed the fellowship of singing in the choir and acting in their plays.
She is preceded in death by her late husband, George King Duncan; son, George Leslie Duncan; daughters, Sharon Kay Smith, and Cindy O. Duncan; sons-in-law, David Smith, and Billy Simmons; and nephew, Hank Houston.
Survivors include her daughter, Lori Simmons of Pewee Valley; granddaughter, Nikki Palmer (James) of Smithfield; great grandchildren, Meytal, and Kierdan; and all of her cats.
In leiu of flowers donations can be made to the Alzheimers Association or Hosparus of Louisville.
