Lawrence M. Kaelin, age 100, of Crestwood, Ky., passed away on July 17, 2026. Born on Sept. 7, 1925, to Andy and Katie Kaelin, Lawrence lived a remarkable life centered on faith, family, hard work and love.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 65 years, Josie Knust Kaelin; his daughters, Jane Faith and Donna Kaelin; his son-in-law, Gene Zaring; his grandson, Ben Mercer; and three brothers, and four sisters.

Thanks to the devoted care by his children, along with Patty Bastin and Diana Seaman, Lawrence was able to spend his final years in the comfort of the home he loved for 62 years, surrounded by the beauty of his family farm in Crestwood. It was a gift that reflected the same love and dedication he had given so freely throughout his life.
