Jeremy Stuart Cook, 85, entered his Heavenly Home, on August 20, 2022, at his residence in Pewee Valley.  He graduated from Springfield College in Springfield, Massachusetts in 1960 and then went on to attend the United States Naval Academy in Pensacola, Florida, where he earned his wings as a Naval Aviator. After 5 years of flying missions on and off aircraft carriers off the coast of Honolulu, Hawaii, he joined the Navy Reserves in 1967.  To continue his love for aviation, he joined American Airlines, where he spent the next 31 years, flying travelers across the world.  Early in his career with American Airlines he would fly supplies and freight to the United States Military during Viet Nam.  In 1982, he married the love of his life, Myrna Jean. They spent the next 40 years traveling around the globe.  They enjoyed bird dog field trials on horseback, loved flyfishing, bird dogs, horses and of course flying.  He retired from American Airlines in 1997 as a DC-10 Captain. Jeremy was a wonderful husband, father and friend to many.  Jeremy was a faithful servant of Joshua Baptist Church for over 25 years and was a God-fearing man who loved the Lord, his family and his country.  He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Myrna (Jean), sons, John Cook and Bobby (Mike) Burgess, daughters Tamara O’Connor and Theresa Bolt, and a host of grandchildren and great grandchildren.  Interment will be held at 11:00, on Wednesday, September 7, 2022, at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery, Radcliff Kentucky.
