Jeff Jacob, 61 from Crestwood Ky, passed away on September 9th, 2023. He was greeted in heaven by his parents, Albert and Marlene Jacob. And of course, Karen Carpenter.
To carry on the Jacob Legacy is his brother Ric (Connie) Jacob and sister Terri Jacob French (Kenny) his nephew Mark Jacob and niece, Kristen (John) Higgins. Jeff no doubt lived a very full and happy life. He was a huge President Trump supporter and didn’t care if anyone liked it or not. He never backed down from a debate and loved the critics. If you were Jeff’s friend you were his friend for life, no matter what. Even if you fought with him you were still family. He held the OCHS class of ‘80 together, aka RellHaisers. He had a very, very large group of friends and he was loved by all of them. He enjoyed more than anything entertaining. It was extremely rare to go to his house and not see many friends there. He loved to cook for people and celebrate any occasion. He definitely had a strong personality. When he first found out he was sick he accepted it and was at peace with it. He chose to handle it on his terms and was upfront on his FB posts about the journey he was about to take. He lived with it for several months and the end came on quickly. He went out the way he lived his life, stubborn and waited for me to leave the room. Though everything else shut down the heart kept on going. So many people I could thank for their kindness, understanding, support and help. I couldn’t begin to name them all because I know I’ll miss someone. You know who you are. My brother Ric and I do have to acknowledge Dr.s Todnem and Code for being so honest and upfront with us from day one. To all our family who constantly sent prayers, support and love. To his lifelong friends and the core group of girls who never left his side and always checked in on him. To Cheryl Denzik, the only one he would listen to. If not for her, we couldn’t have gotten him to the hospital in the first place. To the whole Hospice team, simply amazing. And to Mindy Parrish for bringing Jeff into her home to care for him. She does this out of the kindness and love in her heart. It’s a gift and thank you for sharing that with us. God has a special place in heaven for you. Thank you to all of you who have been a friend of Jeff’s for 61 years , or a few months, and everyone in between. He lived a great life because of you. We have an extremely close family and because of our bond with each other Jeff will be loved and remembered forever. Celebration of life will be at Stoess’ Funeral home on Sept 23rd in Crestwood, Ky.
