James "Jimmy" Herbert Sr

James " Jimmy" Herbert Sr. of Lagrange, passed away Sunday November 2nd, 2020 at his home. He was born in Louisville to George and Frances Herbert  March 9th, 1954.he was preceded in death by his parents and a brother Billy Herbert.  He is survived by his wife of 43 years  Betty Satterly-Herbert, three sons James Herbert Jr.(Shannon) , Jason Satterly and Jeremy Satterly(Tara). Four brothers Frank Herbert(Judy), Albert Herbert(Dana), Thomas Herbert and John Herbert. Two sisters Georgia Terry and Lily Carr, four grandchildren, three great grandchildren. Numerous nieces and nephews He was an avid outdoorsman with a passion for fishing and hunting. He was a general contractor by trade that never meet a stranger. He always took time to know his clients on a personal level and many became life long friends after completion of contracted projects. Services will be held at Stoess Funeral home with visitation November 6th, 2020 from 11am to 2pm . Funeral service will be at 2pm, with burial to follow at Louisville Memorial Gardens East
