James "J.B." Billy Williams

James Billy “J.B.” Williams, 81, of Louisville, KY passed away on May 15th, 2022 at Norton Brownsboro Hospital. A loving father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, who brought warmth, laughter, and lottery tickets into the lives of everyone he loved, and his joyful grin and his Wildcat spirit will be forever missed. 
Born on July 5th, 1940 and raised in Menifee County, J.B. grew up playing basketball and logging with his family. J.B. later went to work as a Heavy Equipment Operator for both the Murray Company and Rodgers Group quarries, eventually retiring to spend time with his grand-babies, bet on horses, cheer on the Big Blue Nation, and become an expert yard salesman. 
J.B. is preceded in death by his parents, Samuel and Golden T. Williams of Pomeroyton, KY; his three brothers, Don, Dan, and Darrell Williams; and three sisters, Ruth Klaber, Greta “Dee” Wynn, and Ilena Fern Williams of Menifee County; his grand-daughter Chelsea Williams and grandson-in-law Adam Satterfield, both of Louisville. 
James Billy is survived by his sisters, Ann Ballard and Becky Beam; his four children, Lisa Williams (Garnett), Tracey Williams-Bone (Steve), James Curtis Williams (Heidi), and Maria Deamer (Alan). He is also survived by his eleven loving grandkids, 9 great-grandchildren, and even more nieces, nephews, and great-nieces/nephews. 
In the spirit of J.B.’s love for his grand-children, our family asks that in lieu of flowers, any interested parties make donations in his name to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital of Louisville, KY.
Funeral service will be 1:00 PM Saturday, May 21st, 2022 at Stoess Funeral Home, 6534 West Highway 22, Crestwood, KY 40014, with burial to follow in  Floydsburg Cemetery, 5600 Old Floydsburg Rd, Crestwood, KY 40014. 
Visitation will be 10:00 AM until time of service.
