James was a loving husband, father, father-in-law, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, son, and uncle, often known for his red hair in youth. He loved cars, both working on cars and collecting model figures. He was an over-the-road truck driver for over 40 years before working as a Wal-Mart associate overnight for the past decade, becoming a friend and father figure to all. He loved to tinker in his garage, read western novels and spend time with his rottweiler, Votto, following the passing of his previous rottweilers, Macy and Bruno. He was a proud Army veteran, serving his country in Vietnam. Above all else, he was a family man, providing for his family, being a “girl-dad” and showing pride in his 53 (almost 54) year long marriage and devotion to his wife, Linda.
