Ilme Linda Dolan

Ilme Linda Dolan, 80, passed away peacefully on July 7, 2024. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend to those who knew her.

Linda, as she was known, was born in Tartu, Estonia, and immigrated to the United States with her parents as a child to escape World War II in Europe. She was grateful to have the privilege of becoming an American citizen and was a steadfast patriotic American.

After graduating from Butler University, Linda married her husband John a few years later in 1972. They celebrated 51 years of marriage together. John and Linda moved to Kentucky in 1978 with their children. Linda was a homemaker and an active member of St. Aloysius Church and School, where she volunteered for many years. Linda loved life, family and friends. She always supported her children throughout their school, sports and life endeavors. She will especially be remembered as a wonderful grandmother who loved spending time with her grandchildren.

Linda is preceded by her husband John, son Brian, and parents Osvald and Eleonora Voosaar. She is survived by her daughter Christina Baker (Tim) and grandchildren Elizabeth and Brooke.

A funeral will be held on July 16, 2024, at St. Aloysius Catholic Church chapel in Pewee Valley. Visitation will start at 10 am in the chapel with mass to follow at noon. Linda will be interred at St. Aloysius Cemetery. Flowers can be sent to St. Aloysius Catholic Church or in lieu of flowers please send memorial contributions to the American Stroke Association.
