Herbert "Buddy" Andrew Russell, Jr.

Herbert "Buddy" Russell, Jr., 91, of Crestwood, KY passed away August 13th, 2025 after a battle with cancer.  He was born June 21st, 1934 the youngest child of Herbert and AnnaBelle Russell.
Buddy will be remembered for his great sense of humor, his charismatic smile and the love he gave his family.  He enjoyed square dancing, fishing, collecting antique cars, playing cards, board games and woodworking.
Buddy was self employed and owner of Crestwood Cabinet Shop, Ma's Vittles Restaurant and Russell's Gift Store.
He is preceded in death by his parents; sister, Dorothy Yates; brother in laws, Fred Yates and John Thompson. 
He is survived by his loving companion of 20 years Judy Gordon; his children, Gail Grasch (Dennis), Herbert Dennis Russell (Melanie), and Melissa Devore (Dennis); grandchildren, Charlenna Oliver (Brian), Amanda Branscom (Glen Hitt), Christopher Russell, and Mary Russell (Mike Turner); great grandchildren, Amelia Ochsner and Lucas Russell; sister, Alice Thompson; Judy's sons, Mike and Matt Gordon and their families, several nieces, nephews, and many friends.  
Funeral service will be Monday 2 pm, Stoess Funeral Home, Crestwood with interment to follow in Floydsburg Cemetery.  Visitation will be Monday 10 am until 2 pm at the Funeral Home.
