Gregory M. Dudgeon was born on May 9, 1963 in West Lafayette, IN and passed away on August 2, 2025 in Louisville, KY. Greg grew up in Louisville and raised his family in Oldham County. He was a graduate of Ballard High School and attended University of Louisville. Greg started working for his dad at Dean Witter in the 1980s and finished his career working at PNC bank for 20+ years.
Greg had a passion for adventure and the things that brought him joy. He loved to travel and experience new places with the people that he loved, and he never missed the excitement of the Indy 500. A true weather enthusiast, he could often be found tracking storms and sharing forecasts. Music was another constant in his life—especially the sounds of the ‘80s—and he loved the energy of live concerts. He often joyfully reminisced about a Kiss concert that he went to when he was a teenager, where AC/DC was the opener. Greg had an unwavering loyalty to his favorite teams, teams that his Dad and brother played for, proudly cheering on Virginia and Purdue sports throughout the years.
Most importantly, Greg was an amazing husband, father, son, papaw, brother, and friend. He was happily married to his wife, Mary “Miff”, since October 1, 1988. An attentive father, his children Matthew, Hollis, Keightley and Mary Carmel were his pride and joy. He was preceded in death by his father, Henry M. Dudgeon Jr., and his in-laws, Thomas F. Manby Jr. and Patricia Manby. He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Mary “Miff” Dudgeon; his children, Matthew Dudgeon (Allison), Hollis Dudgeon, Keightley Dudgeon, and Mary Carmel Dudgeon; and his two grandchildren, Katherine Dudgeon and Lucas Dudgeon. He is also survived by his mother, Beverly Stinson Dudgeon; his three sisters, Leanne Dudgeon Doll, Suzanne Dudgeon House (Todd), and Jennifer Dudgeon, his brother, Henry M. Dudgeon III (Nicole); and numerous aunts, cousins, nieces, nephews, and extended family.
He will be remembered as a loving, kind, and dependable person. All those who had the pleasure of knowing him have loved him and he will be greatly missed.
