Florence M. (Johnston) Ehrig

Florence M. Ehrig (nee Johnston) 98, was born April 16, 1924, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and passed away under Hospice Care February 15, 2023, in Clarksville, Indiana.

Florence was a graduate of Bartram High School (Philadelphia), she held several administrative positions throughout her life including: the General Insurance Company, General Electric and several real estate brokers. She was most proud of serving over 20 years as the Executive Assistant to the Superintendent of Schools for Springfield Township (DELCO) Pennsylvania. She lived almost 80 years of her life in the Philadelphia area but moved to Kentucky to be closer to family in 2002. She lived until the age of 98.

Florence was always an active member of her Presbyterian churches serving as a Deacon or Elder for over 50 years. She loved friends, travel and eating out.

She was preceded in death by her husband William Ehrig Sr., her parents Samuel and Helen Johnston, her sister Dorothy Cannon (nee Johnston), and her brother Samuel Johnston. She is survived by her son William Ehrig, Jr., daughter-in-law Coleen Watterson-Ehrig (nee Hamler), three grandsons Kristoffer, Colin and Andrew Ehrig, and two great-grandsons Raymond and Clark Ehrig.
