Elizabeth Joan Klaber (Lisa Ward), 63, of Crestwood KY, passed peacefully during the early hours of September 18th after a long battle with COPD. She left this world with her loving husband of 32 years (John) as well as her two daughters (Haley, and Kaitlyn) by her side, and her favorite child (Gizmo, shih tzu) curled up next to her in the comfort of her own bed- exactly how she wanted it.
Lisa is survived by her husband, John Allen Klaber; her daughters Haley Alise and Kaitlyn Joan (Zack Lambert), her grandchildren Charlie Ruth and Bex Allan; and her siblings Ruth Sivori(Larry), Laura Faust(Chris), Phillip Ward, and Crystal Ward.
Lisa was a lifetime resident of Crestwood, and a graduate of Oldham County High School’s class of ’79. She took on the role of bookkeeper for Sivori Catering and dedicated over 30 years to them. Lisa was a mother to us all, and a friend to anyone who needed one, but she was most proud of her role as “Granna” to her precious grandchildren- Charlie (2) and Bex (9mo)
In her younger years you could always find her two stepping with boots as red as her hair and the fiery personality to match. She danced right into John’s arms one night, and finally agreed to marry him two years later in the backyard of the home they shared. They spent the rest of her life building a mountain of memories on Renada Drive.
A celebration of life will be held at Stoess Funeral Home in Crestwood on October 11th from 11am-2pm, reserving the 10 o’clock hour for family. All are welcome to come pay their respects to this phenomenal woman.
