Donna Marcielle (Richardson) Raasch

Donna Marcielle Richardson Raasch (nee Wortman) went to meet her Lord and Savior on October 2, 2024. Born in Indianapolis, Indiana on April 28, 1931, she married her first husband Frank Richardson.  They moved to Chicago, IL where Donna stayed home to raise her 4 children.  During her lifetime Donna worked for Indiana Bell, Weiboldt’s Department Store, Kemper Insurance Co. and David C. Cook Publishing.  She spent her last years in LaGrange, KY with her daughter’s family (Donna & David Collins).  She loved reading. Mahjong, and quilting.  She was a longtime member of St. James Episcopal church in Pewee Valley, KY.   She was very involved with the church and the Order of Daughter’s of the King ministry. 

Donna is preceded in death by her husband Alvin Raasch.  She is survived by her children Frank A. Richardson, Donna (Dave) Collins, Diane (Mark) Spiotta, and James (Lisa) Richardson.  She is beloved by 17 grandchildren, Christina (Micheal) Clifford, Arica (Matt) Waldron, Julia (Matt Duquette), Kimberly (Kyle) Thomas, Angelina (Brian) Steder, Andrew Richardson, Caroline (Wiley) Stephens, Katherine (Sam) Tabor, Marisa Spiotta, Aaron Richardson, David Collins, Teresa Spiotta, Amanda (Sean) Connaughton, Aida (Aidan) Gallegos, Dominic Spiotta, Seth Richardson, Ava Richardson and 18 great-grandchildren; Michael, Gianna, John Paul, Lucia and baby Duquette, Tony, Marie, and Vincent Steder, Sydney Jackson-Spiotta and Josephine Gallegos, Penelope Clifford, Asher and Elliot Thomas,  Bennett and Charlotte Waldron, and Aurora Collins, Isbella and Maybelle Richardson .

Visitation will be held at St. James Episcopal Church in Pewee Valley, KY on Tuesday, October 8th at 2-3p.m.  Memorial service will follow.  Donation can be made to the American Cancer Society in lieu of flowers.
