On Sunday, October 31, 2021, Donna Ann Lodovici, 82, loving mother of three children, passed away peacefully at Forest Springs Health Campus in Louisville, KY. Donna was born on October 12, 1939 in Monongahela, PA, to the late Archie and Jessie (Bozzi) Lodovici. Donna graduated from Ringgold High School, followed by business school, before marrying the love of her life, Ruben Johnson. After she and Ruben married, she worked for the Boy Scouts of America in Pittsburgh, PA. Donna loved business administration and the art of organization and used those skills successfully for several years before having children. She was well-respected and was called on many times to assist her church along with various community organizations throughout her life, ranging from Meals on Wheels, the Hillman Cancer Center, the Oldham County Homemakers and the Oldham County Senior Center, as well as countless other organizations. If Donna’s children or grandchildren were involved in an organization, then Donna was doing her part to help out as much as she could. She was successful, generous, and loved helping others, and she did so for nearly 65 years. While having many positive experiences, love of family was her foremost purpose in life. Donna and Ruben made their home for many years in Liberty Borough, PA, where they raised their children. There really aren’t words that adequately capture Donna’s love of family except to say that her children and husband always came first. After many years of marriage, Donna and Ruben divorced and remained close, lifelong friends. It is our wish that Donna left this world knowing she was loved deeply and had a profound impact on all of our lives. Donna is survived by Ruben and their children, Jodi Seiflein, Rena (Gary) Fry and Matt Johnson, her wonderful grandchildren Anisha (Zach) Chaplin and Jared Fry, and great-grandchildren Amelia Ann and Adily James Chaplin. During Donna’s life, she was afflicted with Lupus and Rheumatoid Arthritis. We mention these diseases so that in death, Donna can bring awareness to the importance of good personal medical management as a way to help others, just as she did throughout her life. Donna’ s family in particular want to thank her Forest Springs family for the care and compassion they continually showed Donna throughout her three years there. They have a special place in our hearts! Visitation will be held at Stoess Funeral Home in Crestwood, KY on Saturday, November 6 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. with a funeral service immediately following visitation.
