Donna G Flickner

Donna G. Flickner, 68, of Crestwood, Kentucky, passed away on May 27, 2022, In Louisville. She was born on November 17, 1953, in Louisville, the daughter of the late Merle and Glenda Gayhart.  Donna was a loving wife, mother, aunt and sister.  She was kindhearted, loving and giving of anything she had.  Her friends and family meant the world to her, and she loved hosting them, at her house, houseboat or in Florida.  She was always the light of any party or room.  Donna was a graduate of Butler High School, Class of 1971.  She was a long-time employee of the Louisville District with the Army Corps of Engineers.  Her passion was in Human Resources, where she spent her final career until retirement.   She is survived by her loving husband of 46 years, George Flickner, son, Jordan Flickner (Brittany) and daughter, Kaitlyn Flickner.  She is preceded in death by her sister, Cheryl Schloss.   Visitation will be held on Monday, June 6, 2022, from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Stoess Funeral Home in Crestwood, Kentucky.  A Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, June 7, 2022, at 10:00 AM at the funeral home.  Interment will be directly following at Graceland Memorial Cemetery, 2776 Charlestown Rd., New Albany, Indiana, 47150.  In lieu of flowers the family has asked donations be made in Donna’s memory to The American Kidney Fund or the American Diabetes Association.
