Donald Henry Starling

Donald Henry Starling passed away on March 26th, 2026 at the age of 89. He is preceded in death by his parents John Henry and Geneva Evelyn Starling, his Grandparents Floyd and Daisy Hogan and his brother Rodney Starling. Donald is survived by Carole Starling, his wife of 73 years and the light of his life. He is also survived by his daughter Donna Rosenthal (Stan); grandchildren Tony Zimlich (Brandi), Regina Touche (Touche) and Andrew Zimlich (Renee); 8 great- grandchildren and siblings Barbara Glasscock (Richard) and Harvey Starling. Don was a devoted member of St. Bartholomew Catholic Church for 63 years. He worked as a Joint Stavesman for Bluegrass Cooperage for 34 years and was also an HVAC technician his whole life. Paw Paw was an avid golfer, bowler and lover of animals and nature, especially his last dog John Henry. His family would like to extend a special thank you to Mykayla from Louisville Home Health. In Lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Hosparus of Louisville or St. Jude. A memorial service will be held  at St. Aloysius Catholic Church on April 11th, 2026 at 11:00am.
