Clarence "Hubert" Buckler, 93, of Crestwood, passed away August 16, 2021.
Hubert was born in Falls of Rough, Kentucky to John Henry and Maggie Buckler. He was devoted above all to his wife of 68 years and loved spending time with his family and sharing stories of growing up and knowledge gained through his may happy years. He enjoyed horse racing, poker, fishing, farming and fashioned himself a wine critic. He believed in doing his absolute best in everything he did and always ready to lend a helping hand. He was a Mr. Fixit and all around handy man who was very independent and self sufficient. He lived to his values! Having served in the Army, fighting in Korea from 1951-1956, he earned a purple heart.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John Henry and Maggie Buckler; siblings, Marvin Buckler, Mabel Vincent, Jesse Spratt and granddaughter, Michelle Siegrist.
He is survived by his wife, Peggy; daughter, Sandy Federico; son, Clarence (Tish); grandchildren, Amanda Haney, Amy Tuttle (Scott), Ashley Self (John), Daniel Federico (Bekka), Lance Buckler (Maddie); sister, Marie Schwiermann (Bernie); 15 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
