Cheryl (Hall) Jonap, 66, passed away peacefully at home after a long battle with diabetes and kidney disease on Tuesday, December 30, 2025.
Cheryl was born on March 26th, 1959, to the late Jim and Carolyn (Malone) Hall in Somerville, New Jersey.
Cheryl cherished her cats, which she had many over the years. She worked for 27 years at Metro Sewer District where she cultivated many lifelong friendships. She loved to travel to the mountains in North Carolina and did routinely two to three times a year. Cheryl loved her nieces and nephews and enjoyed spoiling them. One of her many joys in life was spending her days shopping. She had a special touch in decorating her homes. Cheryl graduated with her associates from Defiance College in Ohio where she met the love of her life and husband, Scott. She later got her bachelors from Indiana Wesleyan University.
Cheryl is survived by her husband of 45 years; Scott Jonap. She is also survived by her sisters; Deb (Mike) Masnyk, and Sue McMillan who lovingly donated a kidney to Cheryl in her time of need; her sister-in-law; Toby Arpin; her 10 nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly. Cheryl is also survived by her cat Grimm who she viewed as her child.
