Charles Walter Hayden

Charles Walter Hayden, passed away February 9th, 2021.  He was born August, 16, 1935 in Louisville. He was a proud retired Chief Petty Officer 1st Class with the United States Navy.  He served over 20 years in Naval intelligence having been awarded the Navy  Achievement Medal, 5 Good Conduct Medals and National Defense Service Medal.  He was a graduate of Saint Xavier High, class of 53. 

He is preceded in death by his daughter, Charlotte.

He is survived by his wife, Penny; son, Walter "Nick" (Peg); daughter, Frankie (Ben) Rogers; sons, Michael (Heather), KC (Jennifer), Daniel (Mary);  and sister, Joann.  He was also blessed with 13 grandchildren;  and  5 great grandchildren (all whom he loved so much and you could find in the yard with him).

Visitation will be Monday 11-2, Stoess Funeral Home, Crestwood.  Funeral service will begin at 2.  Interment will be private.
