Bonnie Conn Cook of Centerfield KY, died peacefully at home on March 7th one day after her 77th birthday. Bonnie was a devout Christian who attended Mt Tabor United Church her entire life. Her greatest accomplishment in life was being a Mom, Nana, “Sis”, and “Aunt Sis”. She was preceded in death by her parents John and Pauline Conn.
Named the “Card Queen” by members of her church, Bonnie’s Card Ministry lifted spirits of those in need no matter if they were family, friends, or complete strangers. Over the years, thousands of cards were sent, each one hand written with a special note or scripture to match the event or struggle that person was dealing with.
Bonnie graduated from Oldham County High School, voted Best Personality by her senior class. After graduating Bonnie worked at the Oldham County extension office as secretary for 9 years. After her two children were born, she decided to stay at home to raise her children. A few years later she opened a daycare caring for children of Centerfield Elementary Teachers. She was blessed with this career for over 25 years and her reward, was watching these special children turn in to fine young adults.
Bonnie is survived by her daughter, Amy (Tommy) Shepperson, son Brandon (Kriste) Cook, brother Ronnie Conn, nephew Jordan Conn, and her grandsons who she cherished Cole Thomas Shepperson and John Ashton Cook.
