It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Barbara Ann Singer on October 10, 2024, at the age of 88. Barbara was born in St. Matthews on November 24, 1935 to the late Alex and Louise Mooser. Barbara was married to the late John Robert Singer for over 45 years. Together, they worked endlessly to build a loving home for their six children. Barbara enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, always ready for a game of cards or an evening of bingo. Barbara was a devout member of St.Aloysius Church, Pewee Valley Ky where she served as the church organist & Music Director for over 40 years. She worked as a legal secretary for various agencies, including the Legal Aid Society. After retirement she volunteered at the Marion Center bookstore and the Little Way Pregnancy Center. She is survived by her children, Kevin (Kathi) Singer, Don Singer, Tim (Susan) Singer, Rick Singer, Kelly (Tim) Stout, Bobby (JJ) Singer and 12 grandchildren; Matt Fales (Avery), Ryan Fales (Melanie), Mike Singer, Ashley Russell (Stephen), Sandy Lingg (Alex), Alex Singer (Eliza), Tom Singer, Kaitlin Soucy (Andrew), Jake Stout, Jonathan Stout, Nathaniel Singer, Shae Singer, and 16 great grandchildren. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Charles Mooser and sisters, Dorothy Wise, Louise Hampton, and Rosie Cusick. The family would like to give a special thank you to the caregivers at Westport Place for their kindness and care given to Barbara in recent years. Visitation and Funeral services will be held Tuesday, October 15th at St. Aloysius Catholic Church, 212 Mt. Mercy Dr., Pewee Valley, KY in the Chapel. Visitation is from 11am until the funeral mass at 1pm, followed by graveside services at the St. Aloysius Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to Little Way Pregnancy Center or St Aloysius Church. Flowers and condolences may be sent to Stoess Funeral Home, Crestwood KY.
